As the special envoy of the General Commander of the Libyan Armed Forces, General Saddam Haftar met with the President of Niger, General Abdourahamane Tchiani, in the capital Niamey. The meeting focused on regional and international developments, as well as prospects for military and security cooperation between the two countries.
During the talks, General Haftar conveyed the greetings and appreciation of the Libyan General Commander and reaffirmed the strength of relations between Libya and Niger.
At the conclusion of the meeting, President Tchiani awarded General Saddam Haftar the National Order of Merit, the highest honor granted by Niger, in recognition of Libya’s role in combating terrorism and supporting regional stability.
