In a notable gesture of regional recognition, Niger’s President, General Abdourahamane Tchiani, awarded Major General Saddam Haftar the country’s highest national honor— the Order of National Merit.
The award acknowledges the Libyan Armed Forces’ effective role, under Haftar’s leadership, in countering extremist groups and contributing to regional stability across the Sahel and Sahara.
