In line with directives from the Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan Armed Forces, Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, and under the direct supervision of the Army Chief of Staff, Lt. Gen. Saddam Haftar, the morning assembly of the Great Man-Made River Security Battalion was held at the Seloug reservoir site.
The battalion commander delivered a motivational address highlighting the importance of the unit’s duties, particularly the protection of critical infrastructure such as pipelines, reservoirs, and associated systems.
The Man-Made River remains Libya’s vital water source, making its security a top priority requiring constant readiness and discipline from all military units involved.
