Following directives from the General Command and instructions from Lieutenant General Saddam Khalifa Haftar, a high-level security meeting was held between the Libyan Coast Guard and the Anti-Illegal Migration Agency to establish a joint security operations room.
The initiative aims to coordinate efforts in securing borders, combating illegal migration, and disrupting smuggling networks, with a special focus on activating the role of desert patrol units.
The second phase of the plan will focus on securing Libya’s coastal line in full coordination with the Armed Forces, forming a unified national security system that extends from the Mediterranean coast to the southern desert, ensuring the protection of Libya’s sovereignty.
