The United Nations Support Mission in Libya expressed its deep shock and sorrow over the death of activist Abdelmonem Al-Marimi, who died days after being detained by the Internal Security Agency.
The mission called for a transparent and independent investigation into the circumstances of his detention and death.
It also condemned arbitrary arrests and violations targeting activists, urging authorities to respect freedom of expression and end unlawful practices.
