The U.S. State Department announced that senior officials, including Lenderking, Senior Advisor Boulos, and Special Envoy Norland, hosted a Libyan delegation led by Major General Saddam Haftar, envoy of the Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan National Army.

The meeting underscored that a safe, unified, and prosperous Libya with strong technocratic institutions — such as the National Oil Corporation and the Central Bank of Libya — would be better positioned to engage with the United States and American companies.

The U.S. reaffirmed its commitment to engage with officials from both western and eastern Libya and to support Libyan efforts to unify military institutions and preserve national sovereignty.
