In a previous visit carrying significant security and political weight, the Chief of Staff of the Libyan Ground Forces, Lieutenant General Saddam Haftar, held a key meeting with Prime Minister Dr. Osama Hamad, Deputy Prime Minister Ali Al-Qatrani, and senior security officials, including Deputy Minister of Interior Major General Faraj Guaim and Internal Security Chief Lieutenant General Osama Al-Darsi. The meeting took place at the Cabinet Headquarters in Benghazi.

The discussions centered on recent developments and emphasized the need for stronger coordination between military and security institutions to reinforce domestic stability. The scene reflected the military leadership’s commitment to strengthening ties with the executive branch and state institutions.

Following the meeting, General Haftar, accompanied by General Al-Darsi, paid an inspection visit to the Internal Security Agency to assess operational readiness and review joint security arrangements aimed at enhancing the efficiency of coordinated national security efforts.

Although the visit is not recent, it remains a significant indicator of the ongoing push to unify state institutions in confronting security challenges—a message that resonates anew amid current field developments.
