Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aguila Saleh, stated that the Presidential Council is encroaching on the authority of the elected legislative body.
He emphasized that forming a unified government is unrelated to organizing elections but is essential for understanding the root causes of Libya’s crises and saving the country.
Saleh stressed the lack of viable alternatives in the current political landscape and called for the urgent formation of a new authority, in accordance with the political agreement and through consensus between the House of Representatives and the High Council of State.
