In a new step aimed at enhancing combat readiness and strengthening field capabilities, the General Staff of the Libyan Ground Forces, led by Lieutenant General Saddam Haftar, oversaw the conclusion of an intensive training program for the 87th class of Special Forces. The cohort completed a rigorous phase of training both inside and outside the country, joining earlier classes that have formed a solid core for national defense.

The graduation ceremony was marked by emotional scenes as families welcomed their sons, expressing pride in their achievements. They extended congratulations to the Commander-in-Chief, Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, and the General Staff for their ongoing efforts in building a cohesive and capable military force.

This new batch underwent intensive combat training as part of a structured plan launched by the General Staff to increase operational efficiency, particularly along Libya’s border regions and deep desert areas, where security threats demand high readiness and discipline.

This strategic move highlights the crucial role played by the Ground Forces Command under Saddam Haftar in reshaping the operational structure of the Libyan Armed Forces, reaffirming the military’s commitment to restoring and maintaining security and stability across the nation.
